The Poetess and Painter reflects 'her dreams

The Poetess and Painter reflects ' her Dreams'

''Dhara Se Akash Tak
Khinch Satrangi Lakiren
Chalati Rahe Anwarat
Meri Tulika ''

(From Earth to Sky
Sketching a seven colors line (Rainbow)
Going on continuously
My Brush (pen) )

These stanzas of ''My Tulika'' a poetry by Kiran Chopra have been recited by Manoj Bajpai, and he was very much glad to do it. She is not only a good poetess but a brilliant painter with many layers and extraordinary imaginations, better to say she is a Poetartess.

Kiran chopara is making or creating more than nine layers in her painting without knowing her wonders. About the source of her imaginations she says, ''These are not totally abstract but like a dream, they reflect themselves as if they are emerging or disappearing. With this show of mine, I am trying to bring the spectators face to face with the shadows of drams.''

The title of the exhibition was 'Reflection of Dreams'. If all her paintings are dreams, Sigmund Freud must be re-evaluated with his theory of dreams, as he has divided the mind into three parts- conscious, sub-conscious and unconscious. According to him dreams are related with suppressed desires, but Kiran chopra's dreams (paintings) say nothing about suppressed desires.
Her '' The two friends'' are full of life and carefree, running across blue sea, and through this painting her dreaming mind and flowing energy can be seen again. Through this painting, she touches the origin of happiness- the freedom, about which John Stuart Mill has written a lot, and of course, today it one of the main object of women liberation movement, going on all around the world. Through ' Two Friends'' what a lovely freedom she has dreamed for girls of teen ages, running across the sea towards un-limit sky!

You can smell wood and stone in her oil paintings and can see the dimension of skill and perfect hands She reveals the secret of her skill in these words, '' I used to sit twelve hours everyday with my brush. All the dreams came into reality, and it took one year. For last one year, I have been working continuously. ''

'Monalisa', one of the excellent work of by Leonardo De Vinci and known specially for her mysterious smile, has been reconstructed by a Lady with a beautiful imagination and skillful hands. The mysterious smile of the original work is being discussed today from different point of views. According to recent a research '' Monalisa was created by Vinci completely naked and latter she was dressed. So it has a smile of a young beautiful woman who do not mind to stand naked before a man whom she loves. And the mystery behind her smile is this.'' Kiran Chopra has its point, recreating Monalila. According to her, '' Everywoman wants to look like Monalisa, beautiful. What I have dreamed I have made it. Now a strong question arises here, Can a woman like Kiran Chopra see a woman' beauty as a man like Vinci? Formats and other grammar of paintings are worthless without the deep feeling of chemical bondage. Somewhere the chemistry of attraction between a man and woman is lacked, and here Kiran Chopra with her all skill and dedication, lacks the fundamental axis of beauty that is related with opposite poles- man and woman.

The first solo show of oil paintings by Kiran Chopra, presented by Artdesh –studio, was inaugurated by Manoj Bajpai, on Saturday, 16th February, 2008, at 6.30 pm. The show will continue till 25th Feb, 2008 at Artdesh, 1st flour , Film Centre Building, Tardev, Mumbai.

She is very polite to write in his poetry that she wants to search and search continuously. In her own words.

'Khoj Hi Jeewan ka Lakshy Bane
Bahati Jaye Isi khoj Me
Anwarat and Awiram

Yahi Satya hai
Yahi Sadhana
Us khoj ki. ''

Making the quest Life's aim
Flow into this quest
continuously and all the time

It is the truth
It is the concentration
Of that truth.

She flows not only with her pen but also with her pen continuously and non-stop.
